One of the last links to the 2007 and 2011 New York Giants Super Bowls is set to retire.   Offensive right Guard Chris Snee met with management today in efforts to work out the details of a pending retirement.

No. 76 has been battling to recover from off-season surgery on a repaired hip and elbow.  After 11 years, multi-probowls and two Super Bowls it might just be time to walk away.

Even though Snee looked in great shape during the Giants OTA’s, having lost some weight after the surgeries, the guard found himself on the sidelines(with ice bag)throughout the summer in hopes that the elbow would respond to rest and rehab.

Chris Snee’s retirement would close the door on an era of dominate New York Giant Lineman.  For years David Diehl, Rich Suebert, Shaun O’Hara, Chris Snee and Kareem McKenzie blew open holes for Tiki Barber, Derrick Ward, Brandon Jacobs, and Ahmad Bradshaw.

Snee will be missed.

This could be the springboard for 2012 4th round draft Brandon Mosley from Auburn.   Mosley has played in 13 games with 1 start, all in 2013…Inactive vs. Denver (9/15), at Carolina (9/22) and vs. Washington (12/29).
