The Giants fell to 0-2 for what seems like every season since pro football was created. The Bears jumped on them early in Chicago, as Big Blue got behind 17-0 to then battle back, and come up short at the end.

The comeback showed fight, but we are all tired of the moral victories. Daniel Jones showed the toughness we come to expect, but unfortunately also the same mistakes we are used to seeing from him.

Danny’s Digits:

DJ was 25-40 for 241 yards, no TDs, and an interception; Barkley and Shep went down early with injuries and that put Jones in a bind. Jones struggled early but then late showed he can elevate his team and carry an offense when needed. DJ ran 3 times for 21 yards; he lost a fumble . . . and I’m tired of saying that.

Danny’s Dimes:

Starting at his own 5-yard line, Jones marched the Giants down the field to cut the lead to 17-10 as the 3rd quarter ended and the 4th quarter began. It felt like he was primed to will them to victory and his 2nd half performance was so much better. His timing and command of the offense came together as the game progressewd.

Danny’s Crimes:

Jones put the ball on the ground again and it was a strip-sack from behind; He needs to show better awareness in the pocket and either escape, set up, or throw it away. He lacks an internal clock and lets the rush get to him, especially being that the offensive line struggles.

Jason Garrett and Joe judge need to do their part schematically, but the players really need to step up or else this is gonna be another long season now that Saquon is out for the season. He needs to be more aggressive and play better from the starting whistle.
