If you have Eli Manning on your fantasy team, chances are you’ve spent the past few weeks cursing his name.

While Manning hasn’t put up eye-popping numbers over the past month, he has tallied a much more important stat – WINS.

That’s right, the once 0-6 Giants are riding a four game winning streak after bouncing the Packers 27-13 behind a strong defensive performance and a helping hand from Eli & Co.

Manning, who completed 25-of-35 passes for 279 yards and a score, navigated the Giants through some long drives that helped eat the clock and control the battle of field position. While he did throw an interception, Manning maintained his reserved approach we’ve come to expect over the past few weeks. Combined with a balanced ground game, the Giants controlled the ball for almost 20 minutes in the first half.

Over the course of their winning streak, Manning hasn’t overpowered defenses, or necessarily won games on his arm strength, but rather his decision making. With only two picks over his last four games, Manning has kept New York out of trouble, and managed to improve is QB rating.

On Sunday, Manning also did something fans haven’t seen all year.

According to ESPN, Manning hadn’t completed more than 65.4% of attempts to wide receivers in a game this season, but against the Packers, he completed 81%.

The Giants now find themselves within 1½ games of the first-place Eagles, with a showdown against Dallas looming in Week 12. A team that was once left for dead, has proved things aren’t always as they seem.
