Jon Beason resigns with Big Blue. There is a football god!
Dan Graziano of ESPN.com has reported that the star middle linebacker has signed a new contract with the NY Giants, yet the details have not yet been rolled out to the public.
This gives the Big Blue fan base a sigh of relief. Jon Beason who was acquired in a trade last season created an immediate impact in the locker room and on the field. Wanting to make a statement and prove he could still play at a high level, the linebacker went out and racked up 21 tackles in his first two games.
There was an instant change in attitude among the defensive players when Jon Beason strapped on the pads for the NY Giants and his encore showed he was healthy once again. In the final month of the season he amassed 53 tackles, helping the giants win 3 of the last 5 games.
