Andre BrownGiants camp is finally underway, and while first year players attempt to make a name for themselves, there are still some starters trying to do the same.

Second year running back David Wilson, and little known Andre Brown are both competing for a starting spot now that Ahmad Bradshaw is out of town. While most expect Wilson to be atop the depth chart come September, NY Daily News columnist Ralph Vacchiano reports they’re both neck-and-neck.

First unofficial Giants depth chart released,” Vacchiano tweeted. “David Wilson and Andre Brown are both starting RBs.”

Keeping in mind these are unofficial, Wilson is also listed as the kick returner, but that may change depending on how many snaps he’ll see throughout the season.

Wilson is expected to see the bulk of carries thanks to his speed and ability to get away from would-be tacklers.

Brown, on the hand, will likely be used as a short yardage/goal line back, similar to Brandon Jacobs role towards the end of his run with the Giants.

Both backs are still very inexperienced on the pro level, as Wilson and Brown have seen only 71 & 73 carries respectively, throughout their short careers.
