Just two days after surgery, NY Giants star wide receiver Victor Cruz made an appearance at the training fallibility on crutches.   He slipped in and out before players had a chance to speak to him.  This process will not be easy for him on many levels.

Overall there is an injury “hangover” and most players just want to get back on the winning side of football and seeing No. 80 on the field and dancing the salsa would help. It will be a long road to 2015 but the un-drafted player from UMASS has come a long way.  I have faith Victor Cruz will make a comeback.

And the reality is Rueben  Randle and Odell Beckham Jr. need go for it.  The time is now to step outside themselves and just be awesome.   Winning now is important.  The schedule does not get easier.  So how does this turn around happen?   For starters, the Giants need to look at The New England Patriots.

The New England Patriots got pasted in week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs.  The score was 41 – 14.  Since then The Pats have ripped off three wins while scoring 107 points while only giving up 64.  Maybe the Giants needed the beat down they got it.  Lets see how they respond.  Either…the it’s same old Giants or we see Eli Manning, Rueben Randle, Jon Beason, Antrel Rolle, Jason Pierre Paul and Mathias Kiwanuka make a stand.

Yes, the Giants lost Cruz and McBride…but this team should take on its head coach personality and show some pride.  The Giants also flat-out play great in the Cowboys new Stadium.

Quick notes:

DRC was brought here to be the man.  His talent is tremendous; however, I wonder if the Giants will see history repeat itself and DRC have a lack luster showing as he did in Philadelphia  few years ago.

Jayron Hosley the 175 lb corner back who was drafted two years ago will be pressed into action this weekend as the Giants travel to Dallas.  Hosley was recently reinstated after a suspension for substance abuse. He replaces Trumaine McBride who broke this thumb last week and is gone for the season.   Hosley will most likely see action at nickel and split time with Zackary Bowman who played the last six years in Chicago. Hosley is too small to make a difference.  Expect Hosley to get abused.

The Cowboys also boast one of the best offensive lines in football. Cowboys right guard and 1st round draft pick, Zack Martin was interviewed Friday morning on ESPN.   It only reminded again that the Giants should have undoubtedly drafted this kid.

JPP: From the start of the 2013 season Jason Pierre Paul has 3.5 sacks!  JJ WATT has 14.5 during the same time frame. Cameron Jordan has 13.5 in that same time. There is no excuse for the terrible play last week from JPP.   He reign as a dominant player seems to be over before it started.   If the Giants are going to win Sunday, JPP needs to flash some dominance.
