Nothing beats a little competition.

Ahmad Bradshaw will never admit that the drafting of running back David Wilson added some questions to his future in Giant blue; however, with 6 games in the books the two back are co-existing on a high level.

Bradshaw, the hard-nosed running back for the New York Giants has seen it all during his 6 year tenure.   Foot and ankle injuries, break out games, Super Bowls, team mates leaving via free agency and now the drafting of his successor.

In 2010 No. 44 had his best year as a pro with 1235 yards rushing and 314 yards receiving.  2011 was not kind to Ahmad as he missed 4 games with injuries and his carries were cut by 105 touches due to the heavy pass Giants offense under Eli Manning.

Over the last two games Bradshaw has found his groove with help from his offensive line and has piled up 316 yards in two games(449 total).

2012 League Ranks:
• 4th in NFL in RUSH YPG (89.8)
• 10th in NFL in TD (3)

Sunday Bradshaw pounded the Niners with 27 carries for 116 yards against a defense that had not allowed a 100-yard rusher in previous 22 home games. Bradshaw was vintage Bradshaw as he showed on numerous occasions that he has plenty left in the tank.

Enter David Wilson.

David Wilson the New York Giants first round pick from Virginia Tech has now found his place on the New York Giants.  After a shaky start the rookie running back has just exploded in the return game.  Against the Niners Wilson had two kick returns for 93 yards and 590 total yards on the season.   He maybe the best kick returner in the game.

Wilson ripped off 35 yards on just 6 carries against the #1 run defense in the league and people are taking notice.  Overall, if you toss in Wilson’s great return game and his 87 yards rushing/1 TD and the Giants have found some magic.

Andre Brown maybe hurt but when healthy he can pound the ball with the best.  The three backs are delivering quality plays every time they touch the ball.   So why now?   The big boys upfront are starting to gel as a unit.   Giddy Up!
