The news from the Giants continues to get bad.  Wide Receiver, Jerrel Jernigan has been put on season ending injured reserve with a mid foot sprain.

At the end of the 2013 NY Giants season Jernigan had a break out game against the Washington Redskins, which set the tone for the receiver to continue that success in 2014.

However, that never quite happened as the receiver started the year off very slow.   It could have been a result of Jernigan grasping the new Ben McAdoo offense, Eli Manning not having the time to look for the third receiver or the lack of opportunity.

This was the final year of Jernigan’s rookie contract.   He has only caught 38 passes in four years which will make it hard for the 3rd round receiver from Troy to receive a new contract in 2015.

Over the first two games of this new Giants Season Jerrel Jerningan has only caught 6 of 9 targets for 40 yards.   He will be replaced on the Giants active roster by Victor Cruz’s college teammate… Julian TalleyClick here to read the NYGiantsRush.com exclusive interview with Julian Talley.
