Milestones often come with rewards.

The New York Giants and their fans hope that No. 44 can find 131 yards of rushing left in his surgically repaired legs to catapult the Giants to the playoffs this season.

Those 131 yards would help Ahmad Bradshaw to his first 1000 yard rushing seasons in 3 years and only the second of his career.

Bradshaw’s best season running the ball for “Big Blue” was during the 2010 season when he rushed for 1235 yards on 276 carries for 4.5 yards a carry.  It was reported that Ahmad Bradshaw has made the trip to Baltimore to play against the Ravens on Sunday December 23rd.

So an early Christmas present may come with the No. 44 stamped on it…if the tenacious back is healthy enough to play.  Bradshaw is currently #6 on the all time New York Giant rushing list with 4086 yards.  He is a few hundred behind the great Alex Webster and the recently cut Brandon Jacobs.

The Ravens have made it official that Linebacker Ray Lewis and Linebacker Jameel McClain will not play on Sunday against the Giants.  That should bode well for Giants running backs,  Ahmad Bradshaw and David Wilson.
